Sheltered Women’s Ministry

Psalms 91:1 “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.”  At Roaring Fork Baptist, the Sheltered Women's Ministry stands as a vibrant community where women are drawn to glorify God and serve one another. Our aim is to lead women to Christ, fostering bold discipleship through purposeful engagement with God's Word and each other.  Throughout the year, we offer various events designed to enrich your spiritual journey and foster meaningful connections:

Bible Study Groups:

Engage in our Spring and Fall sessions to delve deeper into God's Word.

Quarterly Socials:

Join us for gatherings where we build friendships and share in the joy of fellowship.

Craft Events:

Explore your creativity while bonding with other women throughout the year.

Spring and Fall Ladies Brunch:

Connect over delightful meals, fostering community and encouragement.

Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child Campaign:

Participate in spreading love and joy to children in need.

Family Game Nights:

Enjoy fun-filled evenings for the whole family.

Anna's Fellowship:

Widowed women's group to honor and encourage especially during the Christmas season.

Noel Backpack Ministry

Roaring Fork Baptist Church has committed to providing meals for bus riders on Sunday morning, Wednesday evening and one Sunday lunch per month. The need is greater than these limited opportunities. Our goal is to provide a backpack of staples on Wednesday evening to bridge the gap until Sunday.

Nutritious, nonperishable food items are stored at the church, allowing volunteers to meet each Wednesday to assemble the backpack contents. On Wednesday evening, the backpacks are distributed to the designated bus driver. To be as discreet as possible, we place the food on the bus while they participate in activities.

How Can You Help?

It takes the partnership and dedication of many volunteers to provide, assemble, and deliver the amount of food necessary to feed the growing number of children each week. We invite you to join the Bus Backpack Ministry in this mission in one or more of the following ways:

Prayer has been a critical part of this ministry from the beginning and is a wonderful way for everyone to participate.

Food donations:

are always welcomed and appreciated. If you or your small group are interested in making a one-time donation or partnering in an ongoing service project, please contact our Church Secretary, Teri Bilbrey, at 865-436-8643.

Cash donations:

are essential to the operation of this ministry. If you would like to make a donation, please make checks payable to Roaring Fork Baptist Church, with “Bus Backpack Ministry” in the memo line and place them in the offering basket or mail to: Roaring Fork Baptist Church, PO Box 1474, Gatlinburg, TN 37738.
